Open-Source AI Robotics Experience & Innovation Centre

A proposed physical showcase, testing ground and Australian market-entry environment for advanced global robotics and AI hardware — where open AI software meets real robots, in real scenarios, in front of real customers.

The Concept

More than a robot store — an innovation centre

Rather than a conventional retail shop, the Centre is an experience and innovation environment: its value is space, scenarios, B2B and industry — not just foot traffic.

Live robot demonstration

Humanoids, robot dogs and commercial service robots demonstrated in real, moving scenarios — a humanoid arena, dog test course and commercial routes (restaurant, hotel, aged care, healthcare, retail, delivery).

AI home living lab

A real living-room, bedroom, kids’ room and smart-home build for consumer AI, companion robots and home-device experience.

Education & STEM

Coding, robotics, school visits and holiday programs — building audience, brand and community.

B2B demonstration & sales

Enterprise demonstration and sales across hospitality, aged care, healthcare, cleaning, property, education and corporate.

Brand showroom

A demonstration and launch space for global brands — display, demo space, new-product launches and brand events.

Service & support

Setup, installation, maintenance, repair intake, spare parts, charging and light warehousing.

Selection Principle

Global, multi-origin selection

Product strategy is explicitly global — not sourced from any single country or region. The first centre prioritises advanced robots and AI hardware from Australia, the US, Europe, Japan, Korea, China and other markets.

Selection criteria: technical maturity, Australian compliance capability, product experience, after-sales system and commercial sustainability.

Market-entry for global brands

  • Australian experience and user testing
  • Channel validation and content
  • After-sales entry point
  • Brand launch and events
  • Demonstration and pilot fees
Business Model

Diversified revenue, not retail alone

An experience centre is designed so that several revenue streams share fixed costs, rather than relying on retail foot traffic.

Status

The Centre is a proposed venture under feasibility review. Site, scale, fit-out and commercial terms are being assessed and will be confirmed through staged evaluation, supplier agreements and appropriate approvals. Any figures are planning assumptions only.
