The built environment
Our first industry block is the Australian Open Built Environment — covering building, materials, housing, commercial construction, engineering, modular and 3D-printed construction, design, construction, supply chain and the building lifecycle.
The goal is not to publish companies’ commercial data. It is an “open data structure + tiered, authorised access” mechanism that enables cross-enterprise, cross-platform and cross-system data interoperability while protecting commercial secrecy, privacy and IP.
Open building data
Materials, products, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors; project types, scale and stages; cost, schedule, procurement, logistics and inventory; environment, carbon and lifecycle data — unified so different sources can be reliably called by AI, design, procurement and project systems.
Open standards & indicators
Material performance; structure, fire, waterproofing, thermal, energy and acoustic indicators; environment and carbon; modular and precast; 3D-print construction; and a mapping between Australian and international standards.
Open building product library
Machine-readable product records — parameters, materials, applicable scenarios, performance, certification and test reports, environment data, BIM / CAD / 3D models — with unified product IDs and API access.
Modular & MMC library
Standard modules and components, nodes and load parameters, assembly rules, factory-manufacturing and QC, transport and site-installation parameters — an Australian Modular Building Open Library.
3D construction library
Print materials and mix parameters, equipment and process parameters, structural design and strength data, interfaces and file formats — an Open 3D Construction Library and Australian compliance pathways.
Construction supply chain
Manufacturers, suppliers, importers and distributors; warehousing, logistics, customs and delivery; a traceable Product → Manufacturer → Logistics → Warehouse → Project → Installation chain.
